Michael did fantastic work. We had some holes in the ceiling which he patched with drywall, then sanded and primed with multiple layers before painting. If you didn't know the hole was there, you'd never be able to tell. Michael's rates are exception, and he's both very professional and fast. I highly recommend his services and would be happy to hire him again.

Mike has done interior painting projects for me and I have been immensely happy with his work. Mike is a master of surfaces and materials and he always seems to know how to approach a job and offers creative solutions. Very neat and completes projects on time. I would definitely use Mike again.

Just finished a kitchen reno and I cannot say enough good things about Michael and his team. Needed some new cabinets, modifications to old cabinets, all new cabinet doors, two tile backsplashes, and complete painting (ceiling, trim, walls, cabinets, and interior/exterior doors). The team was always prompt, professional, polite, provided beautiful workmanship, and did thorough daily clean-up - just a delightful experience. I highly recommend them!!

Mike and his crew are the best!! I had my entire house repainted, including radiators, as well as an outdoor project and closet refit. Plus he did a sand down and restain of my stairs that matched exactly what I wanted. He explained the pros and cons of going did dent paths in a way that’s super easy to understand if you don’t know much about paints and stains. Every time I trusted his opinion I’m glad I did! The quality and attention to detail is great! Mike is so easy to work with and knows his stuff! Can’t recommend enough and I’ll continue to use Mike for all my future painting projects!

I had some painting and carpentry work done in a bedroom and hallway by Michael and team. They did a great job. Responsive, punctual (very important to me) and quality work. They delivered. I would definitely recommend them to prospective customers.

McCarthy Painting has painted several times over the years for us in our 100+ year old apartment in the Back Bay on Commonwealth Avenue. His quote has always been competitive with others painter's quote and stayed true to his pricing. Michael began and finished the job as scheduled in a very competant manner. Our apartment has very high ceilings, several difficult areas to reach and complicated finishes. Michael has gone out of his way when we needed a small job at the last minute to accommodate us. If it was necessary to leave Michael and his employees at our home unaccompanied, I always felt secure that it would be well cared for. Most of his employees are as competant and have been with Michael for many years. Michael is on the job working with his employees therefore the job is very well supervised.I would highly recommend Michael P. McCarthy Painting, Inc. and will continue to use his services.

Mr. McCarthy responded promptly to my request for price quotations to paint the interior and exterior of my home. Mr. McCarthy met with me at my home at time and day that was convenient for me. He explained in detail how he would do both jobs. He provide detailed, itemized written quotes. Mr. McCarthy and his crew showed up every day on time and ready to work. He and his paint crew were always polite and were considerate of my family's personal property. Mr. McCarthy is detailed-oriented, meticulous, and customer service-focused. So my home had 48 holes to be patched that were left over from heavy electrical work. Mike McCarthy finished all 48 holes in two days. I could not have been any happier. I have seen patchwork done at many homes before and I must say you can see Mr. McCarthy’s pride in his work with every patch He constructed. There are two types of contractors that you will have. One just wants to get the job done and sometimes corners are cut to get it done quickly so they can run off and get to the next job. Michael is not one of these people. His experience shows with the flawless patchwork and amplified by the timely manner in which he completed the work. When I say flawless people I mean flawless. There were even a couple of scuff marks that were in my wall that Mr. McCarthy took his own time to repair as well no questions asked. No mess was left over. I have Plenty of other work that needs to be done and needless to say I delegate Mike McCarthy as my number one choice. I look forward to having future business with him and I urge anyone who needs a highly skilled painter to look no further.

Michael's company recently completed a painting project at my home. The preparation work they did was very thorough and detailed which is what we had expressed to Michael. The project was started and completed on time and budget. They left the job very neat every night.The result was better than we had expected. We would definitely use their services again.

I have used Mike and his guys for several work projects, he always does a great job and in a timely fashion. I have been using him for my own house projects also. He and his guys have transformed my old cruddie looking front hall to a brand new clean look, what an amazing difference!! I highly recommend him for painting, plastering, patching and light carpentry work. He does many different jobs so he can do more than what I described. An all around great guy does all types of work and I highly recommend him .
